At Qualified Carpentry LLC, we believe that exceptional carpentry is the backbone of every great remodeling project. Founded by Taylor Huntington in 2024, it began as a dedicated craftsperson with a toolbox, a truck, and a commitment to quality that quickly set him apart. What started as taking on side jobs here and there, has grown into a trusted, full-service remodeling business that thrives on professionalism, quality, and outstanding customer service. We are carpenters at heart that take great pride in all of our work.
We specialize in transforming the structural and aesthetic bones of your home. Meet the Founder: Taylor Huntington

I knew that I wanted to be a carpenter from when I was a very young man at the age of 5 or 6 years old. I was always very interested and wanted to be apart of the action. I learned the trade from my father who was a carpenter in the trades and eventually started a business of his own providing custom millwork and cabinetry. I was always in the shop helping with the various projects eager to learn all the tricks of the trade. Summers as a teenager were spent on the job apprenticing, building the foundation of the person I am today. When I wasn’t in school I was on the job sweeping floors, fetching tools, and always watching trying to learn and understand the trade. I was taught that good, quality work solves problems and beautiful work inspires an undescribable amount of accomplishment. That lesson has guided every project to this day since.
After graduating high school at 18 years old I continued my journey in the trades working for various general contractors(commercial & residential), custom home builders, and home remodeling contractors. I worked with many exceptional tradesman along my journey who taught me the very techniques and standards I use today. I started this company to fill a gap I saw, clients wanted the artistry of a dedicated carpenter, but with the reliability and full project management of a general contractor.
Fast forward to present day at age 35, I have started my own business providing professional home remodeling and property maintenance services where quality and reliability is a standard. We’re not the biggest remodeling company in the greater Charleston Metro Area, and that’s by design. We choose to be the best at what we do, carpentry-centric projects built with skill, managed with care, and delivered on our promise. When you work with us, you’re working directly with me and the craftsmen who work with me in your home. There are no layers of subcontractors or disconnected foremen.
